Networking and Innovation Veteran Jeff Erwin Named CEO of Pure Networks
Seattle, WA - September 15, 2006 - Pure Networks (www.purenetworks.com), announced today the appointment of Jeff Erwin as President and CEO of the leading consumer home networking company. Jeff brings more than 25 years of experience in the computer, networking and software industry in the Northwest, where he has successfully founded three companies, driven innovation in some of the region's largest and most prominent technology companies including Microsoft and Visio, and consistently demonstrated the ability to bring innovative products to market.

Jeff Erwin, 51, has honed his management and business skills over the past three decades building on a solid foundation of technical expertise. Most recently Jeff served as CEO of Experticity which focused on building platforms for video customer support. Prior to Experticity, Jeff spent eight years at Visio and Microsoft driving product innovation around network services. In his last role as Director of Incubation, Jeff worked with Microsoft Research to bring advanced wireless networking technologies to market throughout the Microsoft product line.
Jeff started his career in Oregon where he founded and ran several successful companies including ProTools which was acquired by Network General and Kaspia which was acquired by Visio. Jeff is named in eight patent filings in the area of networking. In 1997, Jeff was named one of the top 25 drivers in the network management market by Network Computing magazine.
Erwin is leading an executive team that includes Pete Price, CFO, Brett Marl, CTO and Martin DeBono, VP of Sales and Business Development. Pure Networks is funded by Bessemer Partners, Intel Capital, Ignition Partners and the Mayfield Fund.
